Connecting Vanta to Serval enables automated compliance workflows, security monitoring, and audit management directly from your service desk.

What the Vanta integration enables

Anything defined in the Vanta API which use the “Manage Vanta” permission scopes can be accessed through Serval.

Vanta Configuration

Prerequisites

• You must have admin access to your Vanta account

Create an OAuth Application

1. Log in to your Vanta account as an admin
2. Navigate to Settings → Developer Console
3. Click Create
4. Configure your application:
   • Name: Enter “Serval Integration” or another descriptive name
   • Description: Add a description for the integration
   • App Type: Select “Manage Vanta”
5. After creating the app, you’ll receive:
   • Client ID: Your application’s unique identifier
   • Client Secret: Your application’s secret key

Serval Configuration

1. In Serval go to Apps → Available → Vanta → Connect

2. Enter the following information:

   Field	Description
   Instance Name	A friendly name for this integration instance
   Client ID	The Client ID from your Vanta OAuth application
   Client Secret	The Client Secret from your Vanta OAuth application

3. Click Save
