Serval access management automates just-in-time (JIT) role-based access provisioning and deprovisioning directly from help desk requests. Your team can configure, approve, and view logs of all access in one system. Serval enforces least-privilege access while giving employees a single place to request IT support.

As a team manager

You have centralized control over access management. View the configuration guide [Link] Connect the applications you want to manage access to. Configure role-based access control (RBAC) for any application role or resource role with the following specifications:
  • Access Profiles: Control which users can request access to specific applications, resources, or roles
  • Access Policies: Set time-bound access, approval requirements, and business justification requirements
  • Provisioning methods: Handle access through System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) using your existing identity provider (IdP), custom workflows, direct API provisioning, or manual steps
Manage access management automation:
  • Import existing access groups from your IdP
  • Manage access profiles and policies centrally
Audit historical access:
  • View and download historical access reports by role or team
  • Build workflows to regularly audit historical access

As an employee

You can request access centrally. View the request guide [Link] Conversation: Request access through a conversational interface where Serval automatically responds, helps determine which application and access level you need, then revokes access when the time limit expires. My Access Portal: In app.serval.com, request specific role access to an application directly and have Serval automate or escalate the request.
